Position: Student Advisor (Spanish)

Our agency provides advice, university placement, admission process service, and visa services to study in Canada to Latin American students.

We are looking for a full-time student advisor to recommend, promote, and sell study programs to prospective students from Mexico and Latin America.

We have a portfolio of more than 50 important Canadian educational institutions to simplify the admission process of our clients. Our portfolio of programs include higher education programs, English language courses, Study and Work programs, and high school programs.

You will be an important part of our team responsible for advising students with their educational goals, helping our immigration consultants designing an immigration strategy for our students, and submitting student applications to our partner universities and colleges.

Experience in sales, marketing and/or customer service is desirable as you will need those skills to successfully advise clients and close deals.

Position: Student Services Specialist

 

Our company offer English language courses, provides advice, university placement and admission, and visa services to study in Canada to Latin American students.

Jointly with our sister company Project Canada Immigration Services, we offer the most complete educational and immigration service in Calgary for Spanish speaking students.

We are looking for a full-time support person who takes ownership over a key part of our clients’ university admission process. We carry out admissions in more than 50 important universities and colleges in Canada.

You will be an important part of our team responsible for submitting student applications to universities and colleges, and assisting students with their inquiries.

Key responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Coordinate, prepare and submit student applications to our partner schools, and follow up to help our students successfully gain admission.
  • Provide a supportive and welcoming atmosphere to clients and guests, and provide them with the appropriate information and support for their inquiries.
  • Assist clients’ inquiries in person, by phone and electronically.
  • Place purchase orders including translations, medical insurance, shipments, and others.
  • Support the educational advisors team with daily administrative tasks including invoices, quotes, proposals, document reviews, etc.
  • Provide support administrative support to management with administrative tasks and clerical duties.
  • Help arranging meetings and/or seminars
  • Assist organizing special events

 

Qualifications/requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
  • A 2-year diploma in business, administration or related education.
  • A minimum of a 2-year work experience in administrative supporting roles
  • Languages required: English and Spanish. Portuguese is an asset.
  • Customer service oriented and has people skills
  • Detailed oriented
  • Organized
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is a must.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Be able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
  • Have strong skills in the use of internet and online based applications
  • Possess a strong work ethic
  • Team player who loves working in a dynamic team, and at the same time is independent and self-motivated to work with minimal supervision

 

Work hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Hours per week: 37.50
  • Work hours flexibility may be required
